How to operate The CNC woodworking lathe safely?

1. Before operating the woodworking lathe, the workpiece should be firmly installed, the tailstock fixing nut should be tightened, the thimble should be locked with the locking device, the workpiece should be rotated by hand, and the position of the tool holder should be adjusted and fixed. The CNC tool holder should be at the center of the workpiece 2 ~3mm, if the distance between the tool holder and the workpiece is too large, it is easy to tie the knife, causing a safety accident;

2. After the wood is clamped, the chuck must be rotated by hand to correct it, and the top screws of the tool holder and the tool holder must be checked for firmness, and then the power is turned on for a test run;

3. For long materials exceeding 100mm, the top of the tailstock must be used to hold the material during processing;

4. When installing the tool on the woodworking lathe, the length of the tool bar extending out of the tool holder should be shorter than 50mm, and the length of the tool bar should be maintained at 150mm. When processing large workpieces (more than 500mm in diameter), the tool must be fixed on the tool holder. To clamp firmly, the knife should not be too violent;

5. The amount of cutting tool should be appropriate. When rough turning, the cutting amount should be smaller due to the edges and corners of the workpiece. After turning the corners and turning the basic turning, the speed can be increased. Use a flat turning tool for fine turning, and the cutting amount should not exceed 0.8mm. /change;

6. Keep the cutting edge of the turning tool sharp, and use a dull tool to turn the workpiece, which not only affects the quality but also is prone to accidents;

7. Small workpieces with knots are not allowed to be cut by knives. When the workpieces have knots, they are not allowed to drive fast. Other hard things in the wood should be removed in time, otherwise they are not allowed to be processed;

8. When turning irregular wood with edges and corners on a woodworking lathe, the edges and corners should be trimmed with a fixed turning tool first, and then the car should be used for fine processing;

9. Grinding the surface of the turned parts with sandpaper can improve the surface smoothness. The hand pressure for grinding should not be too large. The sandpaper should move along the surface of the workpiece at a uniform speed to achieve the grinding of the workpiece without causing excessive local wear of the workpiece;

10. When turning the first knife on the woodworking lathe, the amount of knife feed should be small. When polishing with emery cloth or sandpaper, the right hand must be in front and the left hand behind, and the force should be uniform;

11. When turning glue-bonded wood, it must be placed for 24 hours before processing on a lathe;

12. The rotation speed of the woodworking lathe is determined according to the size and material of the workpiece, and it should not be too fast to prevent it from flying out and hurting people;

13. Select the spindle speed, turn large workpieces, and the speed should be appropriately slow, because large workpieces have large inertia when turning, and quick turning is prone to accidents. When turning small workpieces, the speed can be appropriately faster, turning speed is fast and easy. To obtain a smooth workpiece, it is particularly important to note that before turning the blank workpiece, the edge of the wood needs to be basically cut into a circle, and the square material should not be turned straight, otherwise, it is easy to cause an accident;

14. Strictly abide by the safety operation rules of woodworking lathes, check whether all parts are normal before starting the lathe, and then operate.
